Artist explores facets of life in “Slices of Life 2”
Philadelphia native Len Davis will have a solo exhibition in the Antelope Valley College Art Gallery as he offers “Slices of Life 2” Feb. 6-March 7. The gallery is located on the west side of campus, 3041 W. Ave. K, Lancaster.
Davis uses mixed media and collage as an expression of his eclectic taste to explore the many facets of the human condition and contemporary life.
“It’s like a pizza with everything on it,” he once wrote. “Once you take that first bite, you’re inundated with flavor. And that’s what I strive for in my work.”
The artist incorporates found objects, mixed media, collage, drawings and the like to lure viewers into his work.
A public reception is slated for the artist 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13.
Gallery shows are free to the public. Hours are 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Monday-
Thursday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday, and 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday. Call
the gallery at (661) 722-6300, ext. 6215 for details.
