Test Flight, Antelope Valley College’s advanced rock
band, will hold auditions for the fall semester at 6 p.m.
Tuesday, August 26 in the college band room (FA3-176).
The band consists of a standard rock band (two guitars,
bass, drums, keyboard) and four to six singers. At the audition,
instrumentalists will be expected to read from a simple three-chord
chart and improvise.
Singers will sing one song, memorized, either from sheet
music (in the appropriate key; an accompanist will be provided)
or with a karaoke track accompaniment.
Also, there will be a sight-reading element for both instrumentalists
and singers, as part of the audition.
Those selected for the class will be performing in a variety
