Yes, students, faculty and staff can access EBSCOhost off campus using myAVC.
The following instructions will helpyou connect to EBSCOhost from any off campus computer with an Internet connection:
Using your myAVC Username and Password, log in to myAVC.
Click on the gray Academics tab.
You will see the Library channel at the left of the screen.
The link to the EBSCOhost database will appear first in the list of Library links.
Write down the ID and Password you see directly under the EBSCOhost link.
Click on the EBSCOhost link.
The EBSCOhost authentication screen will appear.
You will be prompted for an ID and Password.
Enter the ID and Password you wrote down from the myAVC Library channel.
The EBSCOhost choose database page will appear.
You may click Continue to use the default databases or choose a specific database you wish to search.
After you have clicked on Continue, the EBSCOhost basic search page will appear and you may begin your search.
Students must be currently enrolled to initiate this service. Due to licensing agreements, we are unable to post passwords/IDs on this page or provide them via e-mail.
